Bookshops & booksellers

The printed books — and how to get them without paying more in postage than the book cost

Every THRINV title is a hardcover, printed on demand and shipped worldwide. That means no warehouse, no print run, nothing pulped — a copy is made when someone wants it. It also means the postage is real, and for a single book sent across a border it can rival the price of the book.

So there are two ways to get one, and the second is usually the better one.

1. Order it yourself

The books are sold through the Bookvault Shop, which ships worldwide. Books are printed and dispatched within two to three working days. This is the quickest route, and the right one if there is no bookshop near you or you would rather not wait.

2. Ask your local bookshop — usually cheaper

Any bookshop can order these titles for you, and for most readers this works out better: your shop buys at 40% off retail, ships several books in one parcel instead of one, and hands it to you over the counter. You pay the shop, not an international courier.

If your bookseller has not heard of us — likely, we are a small Estonian publisher — everything they need is below. It takes them a few minutes to set up, once.

For booksellers

Bookvault runs a trade programme for retailers: shop.bookvault.app/retailer-privileges. In short:

To open an account, fill in the form on the retailer page above and Bookvault will be in touch. For a larger or standing order, write to [email protected].

The order codes

Each title has its own Bookvault reference. Give your bookseller the code for the edition you want — it is what they order by.

What the books are

Thrones of the Invisible — a history of divine power: the machinery that presents its own design as destiny, from the crowns and heavens of the old world to the genes, algorithms and curves of the new. It closes on the question such arrangements least want asked: who decided this, and could it be otherwise?

Learn — twenty companion tales for older students and grown-ups, on the mind that will not sit still: how learning actually works, and what it costs a person to be handed a verdict early.

Wonder — five volumes of illustrated stories for ages 6 to 11, about all the ways a person turns out to be more than anyone guessed. Each volume stands on its own.

All three are written by Jan Verellen and published by THRINV Publishing OÜ, Tallinn.

Reading first

You can read everything online before buying anything on paper. A THRINV membership opens the whole book, every Learn tale and every Wonder story, in any of the 33 language editions — with three news articles a month; THRINV News adds the monthly edition in your own language and country.
